Notizie dall'America...

Sophomore Giulia Carando led the Nittany Lions to a second place finish this weekend.

The Penn State women's golf team finished the Nittany Lion Invitational in second place following three rounds of play. The final score for the Nittany Lions was 308- 306- 307 (921). Sophomore Giulia Carando (Torino, Italy) led the team with a score of 74-76-75 (225) and finished tied in fourth place. She was followed by sophomore Victoria Arena (Lansdale, Pa.) and junior Lindsay Cullen (Allen, Texas) who both tied for 16th with final scores of 232.
"Ultimately you want to win your own championship," said head coach Denise St. Pierre. "I don't think the team has anything to be ashamed of. They played a very consistent three rounds of golf and got beat by a good team but we also beat a lot of other good teams. I'm also proud of Giulia (Carando) who stepped it up and really led the team this weekend."
